Chief Warrant Officer Five Hernandez retired from active duty on 1 December 2005 culminating a 33 year career as the Chief, Logistics Management Division, United States Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg.
CW5 Hernandez was appointed as a Quartermaster Warrant Officer Property Accounting Technician. He completed a litany of Army courses culminating with the Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course.
CW5 Hernandez served in a variety of career progressive assignments that include; Chief, Logistics Management Division, United States Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, Property Book Officer, 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, Team Chief/Chief Asset Visibility, Division Materiel Management Center, 82nd Airborne Division, Team Chief/Property Book Officer, 1st Armored Division, Property Book Officer, Department of the Army Receipt and Issue, Supply Support Activity, United States Army Materiel Command, Lakehurst, New Jersey.
CW5 Hernandez operationally deployed with the Joint Special Operations Command in support of Operation Urgent Fury, Point Salinas, Grenada; deployed with the 1st Armored Division in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Saudi Arabia and Iraq; deployed with United States Special Operations Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Qatar.
CW5 Hernandez is authorized to wear the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal (with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, among other Army awards.
CW5 Hernandez is a Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Corps and first Quartermaster Soldier to be awarded the Delta Force Unit Colors.
