Mr. Jose Hernandez was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and migrated to the United States in 1975. Upon graduation from High School in 1982, he enlisted in the US Army reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant before attending Officer Candidate School in
1990. He was commissioned a Quartermaster Officer in 1991. Mr. Hernandez received Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Master’s Degree in Management from Webster University. His assignments include: 2nd Medical Battalion, Camp Casey, Korea; Fire Direction Officer, Executive Officer, and Battery Commander, 260th Field Artillery Detachment, Fort Rucker Alabama; Battalion Motor Officer and Supply Officer, 1-10th Aviation Battalion, Fort Rucker, Alabama; Battalion Supply Officer, 6-37th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Korea; Petroleum Operations Officer and later Commander, 267th Quartermaster Company, 240th Quartermaster Battalion; Battalion Operations Officer, 505th Quartermaster Battalion, Okinawa, Japan; Plans Officer and later Support Operations Officer, 49th Quartermaster Group, 49th Quartermaster Group Early Entry Module; Chief, Laboratory Training Division and Chief, Basic Petroleum Logistics Division, Petroleum and Water Department; and finally as Director of the Petroleum and Water Department, Fort Lee, Virginia.
