CSM Bowers’ key assignments include: Command Sergeant Major, 13th Corps Support Command (COSCOM); Command Sergeant Major, 10th Mountain Division Support Command; Command Sergeant Major, 210th Forward Support Command; Chief Supply Sergeant, S-4, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division; and First Sergeant, Charlie Company, 705th Main Support Battalion, 5th Infantry Division. As the Command Sergeant Major of the 13th COSCOM, he was at the forefront of preparing the command for deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom II. As a result of his superb leadership during the command’s time at Logistic Supply Area Anaconda, the 13th COSCOM processed in excess of 2,000 tons of mail, averaged over 200 convoys per day for a total of 62,000 convoys involving 750,000 vehicles, and was responsible for quality of life improvements for the joint forces assigned to Multi National Corps Iraq.
