HONORS

The Quartermaster Hall of Fame award is the highest form of recognition the Corps offers. This much coveted award honors individuals who are judged to have made the most significant contributions to the overall history and traditions of the Quartermaster Corps.

SGM Tyrone Lockhart
Class of 2023

Sergeant Major Tyrone Lockhart enlisted in 1978 and retired in 2004. He completed training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Lee, VA., as a Unit Supply Specialist. 

Sergeant Major Lockhart’s assignments include; 2nd Battalion/327th Airborne Regiment in the 101st Airborne Division; 3d Armored Division; 1st Battalion/40th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division; 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 2d Infantry Division; 6th Ranger Training Brigade; and 13th Corps Support Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

Sergeant Major Lockhart served as the Support Operations Sergeant Major, Division Support Command (DISCOM), 2d Infantry Division, Republic of Korea from 17 Jul 2001 to 18 Jul 2002.  In this capacity he supervised planning and execution of all sustainment functions in support of the 2d Infantry Division arrayed on the Demilitarized Zone.  Sergeant Major Lockhart culminated his illustrious career as the Sergeant Major of the Logistics Training Department, US Army Quartermaster Center and School from Jan 2002 to Jan 2004, overseeing the training of approximately 15,000 Soldiers per year, principally in MOS 92A and MOS 92Y, the largest Quartermaster specialties. In his second career he continued to serve warfighters as a logistics analyst in the Defense Logistics Agency.

Sergeant Major Lockhart’s awards and decorations include; Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
